Anpara Thermal Power Plant About Anpara DTPS Project 2* 500 MW Designed by BHEL It is located at anpara on govind ballabh pant reservoir in district of sonebhadra ,uttar pradesh india . It is 32 km from renukoot and about 200km from varanasi . Source of water is from rihand reservoir . Coal is being provided by NCL project khadiya ,bina ,and kakari . FGD is under progress . Its cooling tower has 22 CT fans. Ash slurry is being dumped through pipes to belvadar 10km from project . It is INDIA`S first power project built on ash pond.
